FREE Concert: Lev-Evans Piano Duo

Join us for a FREE concert at Camphill Ghent on Wednesday, August 16, 3:30PM.

The Lev-Evans Duo will perform pieces for piano 4 hands by Dvorák, Lasser and Brahms.

Pianists Mark Evans and Gili Melamed-Lev, who have each flourished in performing careers as sought-after chamber musicians in New York State’s Capital Region, Columbia County and the Berkshires, decided in 2013 that four hands are better than two. As the Lev-Evans Duo, they are delving into the rich repertoire of four-hand and two-piano literature.

The partnership blossomed in the hills of New Hampshire at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute, a retreat for chamber music artists, and since then the Duo has given acclaimed concerts featuring such works as Schubert’s haunting Fantasie in F minor, Dvorak’s Legends, and Milhaud’s lively Scaramouche for two pianos. Their first CD will be released in 2016.
