COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER
Camphill Ghent is a new elder care residential community in Ghent, Columbia County, New York, inspired by the traditions and values of the worldwide Camphill movement. Now in its third year, Camphill Ghent is poised to initiate a proactive community relations and marketing program that will enhance its involvement in the community in support of its vision and strategic objectives.
We are seeking a community relations professional who will create, coordinate and implement public relations and community outreach programs through effective communications including printed materials, web and social media, personal cultivation, events, and other marketing strategies intended to promote a greater awareness of and in support of the strategic needs of Camphill Ghent, including the identification and cultivation of a growing donor base.
We seek a person with an engaging professional presence and exceptional verbal and written communications skills. The successful applicant will possess proven ability to develop and implement high impact PR/outreach/marketing initiatives under deadlines. Proactive media relations (including web and social media), events planning, some fundraising experience and familiarity with office software are a plus. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, as well as at least two years of relevant experience in communications, community relations and marketing. Development experience is also desired.

We are seeking two part-time Accounts Payable Clerks/Fiscal Assistants. One position would work in Camphill Ghent and the other at Camphill Hudson. Our ideal candidates must enjoy working with the elderly, relate well to those with developmental disabilities, and must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have a valid drivers license and must be able to speak, read, and write English. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, as well as excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent organizational skills are required.
